A Favorite San Jose restaurant Cabo San Lucas Restaurants Alcaravea One diner called this spot, "the parking-lot restaurant," and , yes, this eatery is carved out of such a space. But put in a raised floor, a roof, some heavy cloth hangings to serve as walls, some plants, and approximately ten tables, and you've got a surprisingly intimate and cozy place that makes you forget this was a parking lot. On the menu are salads, fresh pastas, chicken, seafood like pescado con champinones (fish with mushroom sauce) and meats such as scalloped beef with prosciutto, plus a good selection of wine and beer. Baja Cantina Lit by torches at night with a killer view of Los Arcos, this restaurant on busy Médano Beach (with another outpost in Cabo Marina) is warm, casual, and even slightly romantic. Serving mesquite grilled seafood, USDA cuts of meats, Mexican staples from nachos to quesadillas, and sushi bar specials, it's calmest during breakfast, and most festive on Wed. nights when Mexican music takes center stage. Live beachfront jazz is on Tues., and Thursdays. Ladies night is on Friday. Crazy Lobster Bar & Grill Lobster's the thing here, but daily specials like surf-and-turf combos round out the list. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this typical Mexican sit-down locale has a happy hour that runs from 8 am to 6 pm—and prices are super cheap. You can get a lobster tail for less than 10 bucks; Cuervo tequila shots are a mere 70¢; and Don Julio tequila shots are less than $3! As you sit under the open-air palapa enjoying this feast fit for a king, strolling mariachis will pass by, providing your dining sound track. Veracruz A region known for its seafood preparations—meets Los Cabos in an enormous dining room packed with appreciative locals. The menu has such regional dishes as octopus ceviche, shrimp empanadas, and a heaping mixed-seafood platter that includes sea snails, clams, octopus, lobster, and shrimp. Musicians stroll among the tables and the chatter is somewhat cacophonous, but you're sure to have a great local dining experience here. Nightlife & Clubs
There are many great restaurants in San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, along with incredible night clubs. It's fun just to stroll the streets, people watch, and choose what the menu special is of the day.
